Why Maldives? Because traveling to the most beautiful island does not necessarily have to break your banks! Most of us know Maldives as a very “high profile- for the richies” kind of place but the myth is to be broken, let us call for a reality check! The budget of your trip relies completely on your time of visit. The hotel tariffs, the food price, and other charges completely depend on the visiting season. If you are looking for a really cheap deal, May to October is apt for you. The low seasons always play in your favor. When it comes to booking, I know a hillside waterfall resort is any day wonderful but the local guesthouse around the island is somewhere on the same line though much cheaper. Also to save few extra bucks you can book excursions like snorkeling, diving, surfing, and fishing trips and visits to sandbanks and other nearby islands through your local guest house. These excursions are usually half the price of the very same excursions sold at resorts. Resort guests will often experience the exact same sandbanks and dive sites, as guests staying at a nearby guest house! You can get a guest house at merely INR 1500 per night and the food in the Maldives extremely affordable and will cost you somewhere around 60 to 120 bucks per dish. Scuba diving, Snorkeling, Submarine tour, Male walking tour fall among many things to do in the Maldives. Do you still feel a Maldive trip is expensive at all?
