Inside Out: Beautiful things I learned from the Disney Movie

I was fascinated from the very first day I heard about this Disney animated film Inside Out. I finally made time watch the cute film and learned valuable lessons that I thought to share it with everyone.

We all have those little voices inside our heads. This film takes us through an exciting journey with all the emotions: Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger and Disgust!

Quick Movie Review: The film narrates an interesting tale about a young girl Riley who is a happy, hockey lover. Her world turns upside down when her family moves to San Francisco. The fun begins when the headquarters inside Riley’s mind where all the emotions reside, work for Riley’s happiness.

The learning hat says:

  • Emotions and feelings are important, but if we tend to base our entire life on them, they can turn our life into a complete mess.
  • Feelings can be confusing and they change all the time. For example: One day we feel good about something, next day we might get upset over the same thing. Hasn’t this happened to all of us?
  • Life can be challenging at times. But, no matter how difficult our circumstances are, if we are optimistic and have the willingness to get out of it, we surely will! Guaranteed! It’s all in the mind.
  • There is a definite place of all our emotions be it joy, anger, disgust, sadness and others. And, each of them plays a significant role in our life.
  • Without our prime emotion ‘joy’ or ‘Happiness’ life becomes dull and meaningless.

I love watching such cute animated films. Do let me know if you have watched the movie and if yes, did you like it?

P.S. The film Inside Out won the Best Animated Feature award at the Oscars!

  1. Nice…What I learned from the movies is not to let emotions overpower you.. Most of the people live by their emotions and end up doing things that they dont want to. We have power over these emotions and that power is power to choose.. You can choose which emotions you want to live by. peace, happiness, joy. Also dont be averse to negative emotions like fear, sadness.. They also are important in keeping you alert and composed but again dont let them overpower you.
But to gain power to choose you have to meditate and do some sort of spiritual practices to keep the balance and live a good life.
