Women’s Day Special: Saluting the SHEROES around me! | Celebrating Women
Every day should be Women’s Day. Rightly so. But, it isn’t! – Something to ponder…!
Note: This is not a profesh write-up, this is my way of appreciating and showering love on the beautiful ladies in my life!
This Women’s Day, I want to take a moment to appreciate every awesome woman around me. I want to thank them and also, want to salute them for being strong and a driving force in whatever big and small way possible. Because I know, the struggle is real!
I urge all those who are reading this, please take a moment and appreciate the women in your life. Make them feel special!
Firstly, my mother ( So many backspaces in this one!) Although, I am not her favourite child (My brothers are!) I do love, respect and appreciate her. (Do I have an option? 😛 )
My Sister – Amoghvarsha Indrajit Yadav:
She is an MBA and has worked as a tutor and a professor for over 12 years. Now, she selflessly dedicates all the time to her family taking care of her two children. She lives in a joint family and the amount of work that she has to carry out every day is insane! This super modern independent woman is now a perfect home-maker.
The third and I believe the most important one currently is my house-help. Every cell in my body loves you Shakuntala Aunty! Thank you so much for all that you do! Because of her, I can work in peace as she takes care of the household stuff. When she is on a leave for a few days, I start questioning life and god and work-life balance and what not! 😛 (No, that was a joke. I manage quite well, okay!) But, she is a lifesaver!
Now, coming to some of the beautiful souls around me. Happy Women’s Day ladies! You are GOLD!
Namrata Dawda, Fashion Consultant
She is an exceptional combination of all the good things. Hard work, patience, tolerance and niceness bundled into this beautiful persona. Taking care of the office and home like a pro. Maintaining relationships is her superpower! Love you Namy! Also, she has some unimaginable capability to walk and tease the hell out of me 😛
Archana Sadhu, Homemaker
Never thought you would manage your home with such efficiency after having seen you for ages 😛 You surprise me and surprised me for good! I feel being a homemaker is the toughest job in the whole wide world. Working selflessly for others without any expectations, it’s hard. Also, it’s a never-ending job and mostly thankless. Only brave people can do it! Mansukh Jiju is lucky to have you (and I am jealous and how!) Plus he gets an efficient (free) Shop Manager 😛
Suchitra Chari, Singer, Food Blogger
A trained Hindustani Classical Singer who recently attained her Visharad. Along with teaching music, Suchitra also loves to indulge in some delicious food and review it. A dynamic and an active Volunteer of the Art of Living (INGO) she makes me so proud. Thank you for being a good friend and my travel partner Suchi!
Priyanka Raut, Architect
Brave and strong depict this lovely lady who is an ace architect and knows her job well. A thorough professional at work and a pleasant persona in her personal life. So happy to have known you! A strong educational background to back her, Priyanka has also been a professor and a giver of knowledge. An ace volunteer with the Art of Living, you truly are an admirable being.
Pranali Sanap, Student
This beautiful soul is full of cuteness. A doctor in the making or I should say a kind-hearted doctor in the making who is super wise for her age 😊 I have these protective motherly and sisterly feelings for you! (I am sorry, I just naturally have this for all the bachus, being with kids and tutor for years! Lol)
Richa Shah, Teacher
The reason we have good students is because we have good teachers. I hardly have seen any teacher teach with such love and admiration. I am glad you love your job Richa, you are in a way influencing the lives of all the children you teach in a very big way. Kudos! Also, you are goals when it comes to traveling, I mean Hatts Off! I know what it takes to stay strong and grow when your loved ones do not support you, you go girl! Sky is the limit for you 😊
Vinali Pal, Profesional Makeup Artist
An engineer turned make-up artist, the lady is strong, bold and beautiful. A makeup junkie who is also an avid traveler. Confidence and self-love at its peak, Vinali you are just like your winged eye-liner, accurate! 😀
Prachi Goregaonkar, Founder Plan It 4 U Event Pvt. Ltd.
A businesswoman is strong headed and fierce. Prachi has always resembled strength and passion for her work. The lady broke stereotypes and gave it back to bullies like a boss! Now being happily married, the lady is acing both her personal and professional life like a pro!
Poonam Rajdeo, Engineer turned Cake Designer
I have praised her enough here: http://sh101.global.temp.domains/~ideasthr/all-about-baking-and-cakes-q-a-with-engineer-turned-cake-designer-poonam-rajdeo/
Preeti Rajdeo, Teacher, Seva Warrior
A beautiful personality from the inside and the outside. A dedicated faculty with the Art of Living, a sincere teacher and a student of life! She smiles through life like a fairy! Yes, spend an hour with her and you will know what it is like to be ‘stress-less’! 😀
And, here are so many more people including my teachers Manisha Didi, Dr. Kamala Rajiv Ma’am, Rajini Ma’am and all my school and college teachers. I am grateful 🙂
A very happy Women’s Day to all you lovely souls who read and come back here week after week! Thank you!
