I wanted to write this one since long! So, Valentine’s Day is around the corner and many of us might be looking for perfect gifts for our other halves, dear ones or whoever that person is! Accept it or not, gifts are important! Gifts make us feel special! And, who doesn’t like gifts? The whole process of the excitement of buying a gift or receiving one is awesome. But, here I am not talking about lame Valentine’s Day gifts that are all red & pink and stuff! I am talking about real and useful gifts. This can be applied for any given occasion and not just for Valentine’s Day. You can and you should do this for anybody and everybody you love. This would make them feel special. 🙂

Quality time:

Spending quality time with your dear ones works like nothing else. Make them feel important. It will be even better if you can keep your phone and other devices away while you are with your special person and actually have a hearty talk. Get to know them and genuinely listen to what they are saying. This would not only serve as a gift but also improve your relationship, making it a lot stronger!

Help them with their chores:

This is another way of gifting your time to the person you love. Gifting your time to someone means giving them the portion of your life that you would never get back. Helping to get their work done, office work, homework or helping in whatever way you can is surely a cool idea. This indeed will be special! Rather than gifting your partner Valentine’s Day or say a birthday card that will cost you like around 100 bucks and would be of no use to the person. They might just see it, smile and keep it somewhere they don’t even remember where! LOL. Hope you’re getting my point, right?

Cook something nice:

Irrespective of whether you are a master chef or a newbie at cooking, your partner will love it if you take out time and prepare something special for them. Well, if your cooking skills are as good as my mathematical skills, then you can just make Maggi!! 😉 Tip: Decorating the serving area or the dish can do the trick.

A handwritten note:

This is the cutest thing you can do for anybody. In this age of text messages, WhatsApp, emails and so on, we hardly make an effort to actually pen down something. So, use this trick, pour your heart out on a paper, write a poem, a jingle or whatever sounds special to you.

Book of compliments:

List 3 or say 5 positives or good qualities of your partner, friend, or anyone. Tell them what they mean to you; express your love and affection towards them. Be genuine, tell them how important they are to you and how much you love them. They would surely appreciate it. 🙂
